Why Sama was founded
Sama Manufaktur originated from a very personal experience.
I searched for a long time for lampshades that truly resonated with me. What I mostly found were standard solutions, functional but often without expression, without depth, without soul. However, for me, light was never just a necessity. It was always about atmosphere, mood, a crucial part of how a room feels. Out of this dissatisfaction, I began to design my own lampshades. Not as a product idea. But from the desire to think about light differently.
Design with purpose
Spaces have always fascinated me. Their effect, their mood, their character. My professional path initially led me into the advertising industry, a creative field with a lot of design freedom, but mostly on surfaces, on paper, on screens. Over time, I realized how strongly even a single object can change the perception of a space. A lampshade is not an insignificant detail. It influences light, atmosphere, and thus the entire feeling of a room.
Light as a Design Element
Today, my designs are born from precisely this understanding. Each lampshade is thoughtfully crafted, tailored to different moods, needs, and living styles. Not by chance. Not purely decorative. But as an integral part of space and light. My work is aimed at people who are looking for something special. Who want to not just use their rooms, but experience them. Who don't just want to live – but want to feel their spaces.
